Volunteer Opportunities
DREAM Christmas is a special holiday community service event that equips DREAM Alive (DA) scholars to provide a “Christmas" for children and families living in poverty across Indianapolis. This magical event can’t happen without the amazing generosity of sponsors, individual donations and volunteers. SHOPPING VOLUNTEER
We are looking for volunteers to shop for gifts alongside our scholars for their sponsored children. We will meet at Meijer (56th and Keystone) where you will be paired with a DA scholar. This is a great way to get to know one of our scholars and experience caring for our sponsored children. Volunteer shifts are from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on November 14, 15 and 16. Please sign up for a shift below and we’ll follow up with you to share more details.
wrapping party host
Host a wrapping party for our scholars to come and bring the gifts that they bought for their sponsored child and wrap them. Our scholars will visit between 3:00 - 5:00 PM during the week of Nov. 27th - Dec. 1st.
Along with DA Staff, you and your colleagues will host DA scholars and assist them in wrapping their gifts. More importantly, we want you to have a great time getting to know our scholars. We will provide wrapping paper and supplies, we just ask that you provide scissors, after-school snacks for the scholars, and a large enough space for 10-20 scholars can wrap their gifts. DREAM CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION VOLUNTEER
Work alongside our scholars, DA staff, and other community partners to bring a brighter holiday to our sponsored children and families.
The purpose of this event is to shower our families, both DA families, and sponsored families with all the love that they deserve especially during the holiday season.
This year’s celebration will take place on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5:30-8pm at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center - Gridiron Hall.
