Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Part of what makes DREAM Alive so impactful, is the strategic opportunities available for volunteers from to engage with the lives of at-risk youth by helping youth ‘dream’. Most of our opportunities are simple, but powerful opportunities to impact our youth. Check out the various opportunities below.


Mentor a High School Scholar

One-on-One Monthly Mentoring: Mentoring high school youth for 2-4 hours per month on volunteers own schedule, committed to serving for a minimum of 9 months. For a full description of this opportunity please follow the link below to our “become a mentor” page


After school mentoring

After School Mentoring: Chaperoning middle school youth with DA staff leadership for 2 hours per week from the hours of 3pm-5pm, committed to serving for a minimum of 10 weeks. Typical volunteer profile is someone with weekday afternoons free.


Volunteer at A Community Outreach Event

Large/Small Scale Volunteers: Volunteers for 1-3 hours per year at one of our large events like “DREAM Christmas”, “Scholar Banquet”, College Road Trip, Summer Internship Project, and fundraising events.
