Change Lives. Make Dreams

Developing youth in at-risk communities to become leaders.

DREAM Alive (DA) is a Non-Profit (501c3) focused on mentoring at-risk youth in 7th-12th grade to become civic-minded leaders. DREAM Alive helps break the cycle of poverty by helping youth discover career paths and mentoring them from 7th grade until high school graduation.

Through partnerships with schools, communities, and corporations, DREAM Alive provides scholars with three key opportunities: career-focused experiential learning, mentoring relationships, and character development. With a heavy focus on career paths, corporate volunteer integration, emotional intelligence training, long term mentoring, and cost effectiveness, DREAM Alive differentiates itself from other mentoring organizations.

DREAM Alive meets scholars where they are: schools. We call it site-based mentoring.

DREAM Alive targets seventh-grade students and makes a six-year commitment to help them through high school, partnering with Indiana companies to provide internships, field trips, and various mentoring programs. Scholars transition to one-on-one mentoring with young professionals when they reach their junior and senior years.

We are committed to building servant leaders by giving youth opportunities to discover their community, grow in character, and achieve their dreams.

In 2018, all 27 of our seniors graduated, and 89 percent of our seniors went on to college after completing six years of DREAM Alive programming.

Real impact is made in the context of community. We need the help of you and our local community to truly change lives. Corporate Partnerships, Volunteers, Schools, and Donations are all needed for us to make dreams.
